Naela El-Mehrek

Naela El-Mehrek currently serves as the Head of Education at Orcas, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Naela worked as a Research Assistant at Global TIES for Children from July 2021 to December 2022. Naela's teaching experience includes positions as a Year 4 Class Teacher, Acting School Leader, and Social Studies Teacher at Mavericks International School from September 2016 to August 2019. Naela also taught Humanities and served as a Year 3 Class Teacher at SKILLS School from September 2013 to August 2016. Additional experience includes a Teaching Assistant role at Ahram Canadian University and a position as Focal Point/Researcher at UNESCO. Naela's professional background is complemented by a Master of Arts in Education and Globalisation from the University of Oulu, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ahram Canadian University, and a Diploma in Educational Leadership from The American University in Cairo. Naela also participated as an exchange student at McMaster University.
