John Moffatt

John Moffatt has a diverse work experience in the mortgage industry. John is currently the Head of Mortgage at Orchard since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Better where they held multiple roles, including Head of Sales from February 2022 to July 2022, Head of Origination Operations from October 2018 to February 2022, Head of Sales from December 2017 to October 2018, and Director of Operations from March 2015 to December 2017. Before joining Better, John worked as a Speculative Construction Loan Originator at Colorado Federal Savings Bank from September 2013 to March 2015. John also worked as a Retail Associate at Provident Funding Associates L.P. from May 2013 to September 2013 and as a Mortgage Professional Trainee at Provident Funding Associates from July 2012 to May 2013. John started their career as the Treasurer of Sonoma State Chapter at Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity from May 2011 to May 2012 and as an Assistant Treasurer from May 2010 to May 2011. John also served as a Finance Committee Member at Club Congress at Sonoma State University from January 2010 to May 2010.

John Moffatt earned a Master's Degree in Finance from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies in Business (Finance) at Sonoma State University from 2009 to 2013.
