Karla Jarkovska

Karla Jarkovska has a diverse work experience starting from their earliest role as an Account Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories in 2012, where they were responsible for sales and application support. Karla then worked as a PhD student at the Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics, Academy of the Sciences of the Czech Republic from 2007 to 2012, focusing on multiplex bead-based immunoassay. Following their PhD, Karla worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same institute from 2013 to 2015, planning and performing experiments and providing administrative support for EU projects. From 2015 to 2020, they joined ChemAxon as a Product Owner and later as a Support Specialist, Tester, and Documentation. During this time, they were responsible for product management, technical support, testing, and documentation for software products. Since 2020, Karla has been working at Orchestr8 as a Product Manager, leading the transformation of a legacy system into a cloud-based solution aimed at improving enterprise-level demand-driven management. Most recently, in 2022, they co-founded beLean.

Karla Jarkovska obtained a Master's Degree in Biochemistry from Palacký University in Olomouc between the years 2002 and 2007. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Developmental and Cell Biology from Charles University from 2007 to 2012. In October 2019, they also obtained a certification as a Scrum Product Owner from Mountain Goat Software.
