Marc Wieser

Head Of Special Artistic Projects at Orchestre symphonique de Montréal

Marc Wieser has a diverse and extensive work experience. Marc currently holds the position of Supervisor in the Strategic Initiatives Portfolio for the Fine Arts department at Concordia University since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal where they held multiple roles, including Head of Special Artistic Projects, Freelance Communications/Public Relations, and Assistant to the Music Director. Marc also worked as the Azrieli Music Project Coordinator at Azrieli Foundation and as a Music Critic at Bachtrack.com. Marc gained experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant/Tutorial Leader at McGill University and as the Founder and Member of Trio '86, where they served as a Pianist. Marc started their career as a Receptionist at Cineflix in 2008.

Marc Wieser pursued their education in the field of musicology, with a focus on music performance. From 2005 to 2007, they obtained a Master of Music degree from the University of Ottawa. Following this, they undertook course and research work towards a PhD at McGill University from 2009 to 2012.
