Darlene Kitterman

Director, Investigator Support & Integration Services at Oregon Health & Science University

Darlene Kitterman has extensive experience in the field of clinical research. From 1998 to 2002, they served as the Associate Director of Clinical Research at the University of California San Francisco, where they managed the Clinical Research Program and Office. During their time there, they developed policies for research in human subjects and implemented education programs for clinical research faculty and staff.

In 2017, Kitterman joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as the Director of the Oncology Clinical Trials Office. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing and managing clinical trials related to oncology.

Additionally, in 2017, Kitterman also took on the role of Director of Investigator Support & Integration Services at the Oregon Heath & Science University's Oregon Clinical & Translational Research Institute. Darlene created the Clinical Research Program, which later transitioned to the ISIS program, aimed at improving research administrative and regulatory processes. Darlene developed and implemented education programs and provided start-up and regulatory services for projects to ensure ethical and regulatory compliance.

Darlene Kitterman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and Anthropology from Wellesley College in 1988. Darlene later pursued an MBA in Health Services Management at Golden Gate University. Additionally, they obtained another BA degree in Biology and Anthropology from Wellesley College.
