Laura Pizzo

Laura Pizzo has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and development. Laura has held roles such as Senior Director of Communications Strategy and Director of Communications at the Oregon State University Foundation. Prior to that, they owned and operated L. Pizzo Communications. Laura also worked at the University of California, Davis, where they held positions such as Senior Manager of Communications, Development and Alumni Relations, Interim Senior Manager of Communications, Development and Alumni Relations, and Senior Writer, Development and Alumni Relations. Before that, they worked as a Senior Technical Writer, Marketing & PR at EMSI. Additionally, Laura Pizzo has experience from the University of Idaho, where they served as an Editor-in-chief and poetry editor for the Fugue Literary Journal, Project Coordinator in the Department of English, and Prospect Researcher.

Laura Pizzo earned their BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Oregon, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. Laura then pursued their MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Idaho, where they studied from 2010 to 2013.
