Brian Baker

Brian Baker serves as an Affiliate Faculty member in the Environmental Science Graduate Program at Oregon State University since April 2018. Additionally, Brian has worked as an independent research consultant at Belcairn Concerns LLC since November 2015. Brian's prior roles include serving as a Research Support Specialist at Cornell University, where a significant project focused on the properties and effects of minimum risk pesticides. With extensive experience in research coordination and technical evaluations, Brian has held various positions including Coordinator for the Organic Agriculture Research Symposium, International Research Networker for the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture, and Senior Research Fellow at The Organic Center. Brian also contributed expertise to the Canadian General Standards Board Organic Technical Committee and volunteered on multiple committees with the Organic Trade Association. Education credentials include a Ph.D. and MS in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University, a BA in Economics/Political Science from SUNY New Paltz, and a High School Diploma from Alfred-Almond Central School.
