Aaron Black

Aaron Black has an extensive work history in various roles within the publishing and technology industries. Aaron currently works as a Senior Acquisitions (Data Engineering & Data Science) at O'Reilly Media, where they perform market analysis, recruits top talent, and manages teams throughout the product development process. Prior to this, Aaron held the position of Senior Product Manager at Heel! App, where they oversaw product vision and roadmap, as well as supervised development phases. Aaron also worked as a Senior Acquisitions (Apple Development & Maker Tech) at Springer Nature Group, focusing on content product management and contributing to video lesson initiatives. Aaron gained experience as an Acquisitions (Tech) | Product Manager at John Wiley and Sons, where they managed the Wiley Developer Reference app and facilitated partnerships. Earlier in their career, Aaron worked in editorial services at Pearson Education, served as a Manager at Barnes & Noble, and worked as a Foreign Rights Assistant at The Nicholas Ellison Agency.

Aaron Black obtained a BA in English with Honors from Butler University, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Aaron is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology, with an expected completion date in 2022.
