Jennie Kimmel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various industries. Jennie started their career as a Front Desk Supervisor at Embassy Suites Hotel in 2001 and later worked as a Concierge at Marriott Hotel. Jennie then transitioned into the museum industry and held roles such as Curatorial Projects Intern, Assistant Registrar, and Project Assistant at the Museum of Science and Industry.

In 2009, Jennie worked as a Production Assistant at Peter Menzel Photography before joining Intelisys as a Marketing Communications Specialist in 2010. Their responsibilities at Intelisys included coordinating trade show travel and events, managing the company website, and coordinating marketing releases.

Jennie's most recent position was at O'Reilly, where they held several roles. Jennie started as a Partner Associate before becoming an Interim Partner Manager. Jennie co-managed the O'Reilly Partner Center and served as a liaison between O'Reilly Media and partners such as user groups, tradeshow organizations, bloggers, media partners, and affiliates. Jennie then became a Senior Marketing Specialist, where their responsibilities included managing 3rd party trade shows, planning and implementing O'Reilly booth presence at conferences, and managing attendee engagement activities.

Throughout their career, Jennie demonstrated a strong background in marketing, event coordination, and project management.

Jennie Kimmel pursued their education from 2000 to 2005 at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography.
