Josh Armitage

Josh Armitage has a strong background in software engineering and DevOps. Josh has held various roles in different companies, starting from their time at the University of Western Australia as an IT Support Technician, where they were responsible for server administration and hardware problem determination. Josh then worked as an IT Support Officer at Thomson Reuters, providing level 2 support for a job search SaaS and coordinating with HR teams.

Josh transitioned into a career in DevOps and software engineering, starting as a DevOps Engineer at Civica International and later moving to iCetana in the same role. Josh then joined Mechanical Rock as a DevOps Consultant before being promoted to Principal Consultant and eventually becoming the Head of Infrastructure Modernization.

Josh's career progression continued at Contino, where they served as a Principal Consultant, AWS Practice Lead, and Distinguished Technologist for Software. During this time, they gained expertise in AWS and played a key role in software development and technology consulting projects.

Josh then worked as an Author at O'Reilly Media, demonstrating their expertise in sharing knowledge, before taking on the role of Western Australia Co-Organizer at BeerOps. Josh is currently working as a Senior Engagement Partner at Cognizant Servian. Throughout their career, Josh has consistently demonstrated strong technical skills and a deep understanding of software engineering and DevOps practices.

Josh Armitage's education history includes earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The University of Western Australia, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Josh later pursued a Master of Business Information Systems at Monash University from 2013 to 2014.
