Mars Buttfield-Addison

Mars Buttfield-Addison is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in software engineering, education, and research. Currently serving as a Contract Software Engineer, Telescope Operator, Tutor at the Riawunna Centre for Aboriginal Education, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant within the School of ICT at the University of Tasmania since February 2018. Additionally, Mars is a Co-Founder at the West Coast Space Centre, working on establishing a regional Science Centre in Tasmania alongside Paris since January 2023. As a Doctoral Student at CSIRO since July 2020, Mars continues to contribute to academic research while also operating a personal consultancy as a Developer, Content Creator, and Technology Consultant since December 2017.
