Matt Kirk

Matt Kirk has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Matt started their career as a Systems Administrator at Sonoma National Bank in 1996 and worked there until 2000. Following that, they joined Sonic.net as a Business Development Manager and stayed with the company until 2006. In 2006, they became the Owner of SonomaIT and held this role until 2012. During this time, they also served as the CTO at Social Candy from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Safari Books Online as the Director of IT and Systems Engineering, and left the company in 2015. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at O'Reilly Media as the Director of IT and Systems Engineering, and later became the Chief Information Security Officer in 2021. In addition, they were the Owner of Beyond72 from 2009 to 2014. Overall, Matt Kirk has a strong background in IT and systems engineering with experience in various leadership and ownership roles.

Matt Kirk attended Sonoma State University from 1996 to 2000, where they studied Computer Science. Matt obtained a certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2023.
