Melissa Duffield

Melissa Duffield has extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Melissa began their career in 2000 as a Departmental Associate at Cahners Business Information, where they provided support for the company's web portal. In 2004, they joined F.A. Davis Company as an Associate Developmental Editor, working with various health profession texts. Melissa then progressed to the role of Associate Acquisitions Editor, acquiring Physical Therapist Assistant titles and collaborating with colleagues in production, sales, and marketing. In 2008, Melissa became an Acquisitions Editor, overseeing Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Imaging Sciences titles. Melissa also analyzed sales data, made product recommendations, and acquired over $1 million in new business annually. From 2013 to 2018, Melissa served as a Senior Acquisitions Editor, managing partner relationships and overseeing the Access Physical Therapy F.A. Davis Collection. Since 2018, they have been working at O'Reilly Media, initially as a Senior Content Acquisitions Editor and currently as a Content Director.
