Dr. Anusha Kesarkar-Gavankar

Dr. Anusha Kesarkar-Gavankar serves as a Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation since July 2022 and co-founded The Dhi Project in June 2020. Prior to these roles, Dr. Kesarkar-Gavankar was a researcher at Monash University from March 2015 to April 2024. Academia is complemented by an extensive educational background, with a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Sociology and Community Studies obtained from the IIT Bombay-Monash Research Academy between July 2017 and July 2022 and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay during the same period. Additionally, Dr. Kesarkar-Gavankar has a Postgraduate Diploma in Comparative Mythology from the University of Mumbai, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Communications Media from Sophia College, as well as a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Mumbai.
