Mariela Chinchilla

Mariela Chinchilla is an experienced professional in communication and external relations, currently serving as an External Relations Officer at the Global Environment Facility since July 2024, focusing on political storytelling. Mariela has been involved as a Comunicadora proyecto TEVU at the Organización para Estudios Tropicales since July 2022, and as a Comunicadora Política at the Ministerio de la Presidencia since January 2019, with a background in journalism. Mariela's career began at the Ministerio de la Presidencia as a Periodista. Mariela holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, attained between March 1999 and November 2004.
