Desiree Valera

Desiree Valera is an experienced finance and management professional with over two decades of expertise. Since 2001, Desiree has served as the Grants & General Ledger Manager in the Department of Financial and Administrative Management Services at the Organization of American States. Prior to this role, Desiree worked as a Sales Manager in the Cuenta Ejecutiva division at Banco Mercantil in Caracas, Venezuela, from 1996 to 1999. Desiree holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the Kogod School of Business at American University, earned between 1999 and 2001, as well as a Master's degree in Marketing from Florida International University, obtained in 1996. Additionally, Desiree possesses a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
