Marcelo Martinez has extensive experience in international relations, project management, and regional cooperation, currently serving as the UNSCR 1540 Regional Coordinator and Program Manager at the Organización de los Estados Americanos since April 2018. In this role, Marcelo designs and implements technical assistance programs aimed at combating the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and facilitates regional cooperation initiatives. Past positions include Project Manager overseeing biosafety and biosecurity projects across Latin America, and Consul General at the Consulate General of Bolivia in Washington, D.C., where digital government projects were implemented. Marcelo's educational background includes master's degrees in International Business and International Relations, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
