Ioannis Valvis

Ioannis Valvis possesses extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving in New Product Commercialization at Organon since April 2021. Prior to this, Ioannis held the position of Director of Global Procurement at Merck from July 2019 to November 2023 and served as Director of Business Development at MINAKEM from 2014 to 2017. Ioannis also worked as Pharma Industry Director for North America at BASF between 2007 and 2011, and as Head of Sourcing Strategy & Capacity Management (PR&D) at Bristol Myers Squibb from 1994 to 2007. Early career roles include Process Development Engineer at Eli Lilly and Company from 1990 to 1994 and Staff Research Associate in Biotechnology at New Jersey Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1990. Ioannis holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Biopharmaceuticals from New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from the University of Delaware.
