Richard Ashworth

Richard Ashworth has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Richard is currently the Director of Engineering at Orgvue since January 2024. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Engineering at Funding Circle UK from September 2021 to November 2023. Richard has also worked at ITV as a Principal Engineer from August 2018 to September 2021, where they introduced a cross-department strategy for DevOps, reducing platform costs and increasing productivity. Before that, they were the Head of Engineering at Goodlord from May 2017 to August 2018, where they worked closely with the CEO to develop a technology strategy. Richard's earlier experience includes roles at RBS Markets and International Banking as a Technical Delivery Manager and Technical Lead, at UBS Investment Bank as a Software Engineer, at FDM Group as a Java Developer, and at BCN Languages as an English Language Teacher.

Richard Ashworth holds a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from the University of Oxford, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a BSc. Jt. Hons in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Richard has completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Philosophy, and History at York College, York UK. Richard has also obtained various certifications, including Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate, Certified Lean Kanban Foundation I, Adult MHFA 2 Day Course, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified ScrumMaster, Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert, and Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer.
