Tyler Friesen

Tyler Friesen has worked in the engineering and business development fields since 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they held the role of Maintenance and Reliability Improvements Engineer (Extraction) at Syncrude Canada Ltd., where they standardized work scope documentation and field verified piping systems. From 2010 to 2012, they were Lead Mechanical Engineer at Sherritt International Corporation, where they managed the mechanical engineering design for a proprietary petrochemical demonstration plant project and lead the mechanical design of a proprietary reactor vessel. From 2012 to 2018, they were Founder at Hungrrr Canada, where they assisted clients in the food-service industry to grow their brand, increase customer awareness and retention, and modernize their digital presence. Since 2018, they have held the roles of Chief Product Officer and Business Development Manager at OriGen.AI, where they have performed market research, developed financial forecasts, investment models, and pricing strategy, and supported ongoing product and platform development.

Tyler Friesen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Haskayne School of Business, which they obtained in 2020. Tyler also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, which they obtained in 2011. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the Financial & Valuation Modeling Bootcamp from Wall Street Prep in 2019, DAT263x: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) from edX in 2019, Intermediate Python for Data Science from DataCamp in 2019, and Professional Engineer from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
