Sushan Abeyratne

Sushan Abeyratne is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in healthcare technology. Sushan started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Creative Software in 2007. Sushan then joined Cambio Software Engineering in 2010 and held various roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, and eventually Software Architect. During their time at Cambio, they played a key role in redesigning core modules of the COSMIC EHR System using modern technologies such as Angular, HTML5, REST, J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate. Sushan also led the transformation of the Sri Lanka operations to focus on quality and effective testing practices. In 2020, Sushan joined Orion Health as a Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to the research, design, and development of their next-generation data platform. Sushan has experience with both on-prem and cloud technologies, including AWS services such as EKS, MSK, EC2, Elasticsearch, Aurora, and Cloudwatch. Sushan Abeyratne completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Westminster from 2007 to 2012.
