Jouni Turunen

Jouni Turunen serves as the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer at Orion Corporation since August 2019, overseeing global HR functions including leadership development, talent management, and employee engagement. Prior to Orion, Jouni Turunen held various leadership roles at Nokia from December 1998 to August 2019, culminating in the position of Head of North Europe Region HR, where responsibility included managing a team of approximately 85 HR professionals across 14 countries, supporting 17,500 employees. Additional roles at Nokia included Head of Finland Country HR, where Jouni Turunen was integral in implementing HR strategies, collaborating with employee representatives, and driving employee engagement initiatives. Jouni Turunen's earlier career also featured positions in software procurement and management. Jouni Turunen earned a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Joensuu University between 1989 and 1995.
