Satyanarayana Mukkera

AVP, Orlando Health & Chief Quality Officer, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center at Orlando Health

As chief quality officer, Satya Mukkera oversees the quality and safety of all programs and services offered at Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital and Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital.

Satya joined Orlando Health as a critical care intensivist at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center and later served as medical director for the ICU at Orlando Health Dr. Phillips and chair of the Unit Quality Triad for the medical ICU at Orlando Health ORMC. He is board certified in Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care and played an integral part in the teaching program at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. In addition, he holds faculty appointments at the University of Central Florida and the College of Medicine at Florida State University.

Prior to joining Orlando Health, Satya was chair of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Springfield Clinic in Springfield, Illinois and director of the Medical ICU at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Satya earned his medical degree from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in epidemiology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and a Certified Physician Executive (CPE).
