Sam Claxton

Sam Claxton is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Portfolio for Ørsted's offshore wind farms on the UK's east coast since October 2018. Notable previous positions include Senior Commercial Manager within Ørsted's Asset Management function, where responsibilities involved managing three wind farms and negotiating with joint venture partners. Prior to Ørsted, Sam held roles at Centrica Storage, including Sales and Marketing Manager, where key achievements involved transitioning the Rough gas field to a production asset. Other experiences include participation in Centrica's Analyst Graduate Scheme and a summer placement at British Gas Business, focusing on SMART meter deployment. Sam holds an MPhys in Physics from the University of Warwick and a Certificate in Corporate Finance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
