Gian Luca Cavone

Gian Luca Cavone, EMBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and positions. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, Global Supply Chain at Orthofix, where they have been since February 2023. Prior to their current role, Gian Luca served as the Director, Global Supply Chain at Orthofix from November 2021 to February 2023. Before their time at Orthofix, they worked at Merck Group as the Director, Manufacturing Operations from December 2019 to November 2021, and as the Director, Supply Operations from April 2018 to December 2019. Gian Luca also held the position of Vice President, Logistics at Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. from August 2017 to March 2018. Gian Luca has experience in supply chain and logistics roles at Bosch, Gazprom, CNH, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Gian Luca started their career at Danone as a Production Planner Jr in January 2003.

Gian Luca Cavone, EMBA, earned a Laurea Ingegneria Elettrica degree in Ingegneria elettrica from Politecnico di Bari in the years 1995 to 2002. In 2004 to 2006, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Amministrazione e gestione aziendale, generale from Bologna Business School. Additionally, in 2002, they completed a thesis on sensorless control in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Aalborg University. Alongside their education, they have also obtained various certifications, including Leadership and Safety Culture from CEDEP - Executive Development, Safety Auditor OHSAS 18001 from CSAD, RSPP (mod. B ATECO 5, mod. C) from SudFormazione, Quality Auditor UNI EN ISO 9001 from CSAD, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.
