Andrew Thompson

Dr. Andrew Thompson is a professor of youth mental health and a consultant Psychiatrist. He leads the early psychosis research stream at the Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre (EPPIC) at Orygen and is the lead psychiatrist and research lead for the national headspace Early Psychosis services. He holds an honorary Associate Professor position at the University of Warwick in the UK.

Andrew completed his medical degree at the University of Oxford and a research MD at the University of London. He trained as a psychiatrist in both the UK and Australia obtaining fellowships in both countries and received the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Young Psychiatrist Research Award in 2013.
