Tamara Maes

Tamara Maes has extensive work experience in the field of genomics and scientific research. Tamara is the Vice President of the Board of Directors and Founder and Shareholder at Oryzon Genomics SA since 2000. Tamara also served as the President of the Scientific Advisory Board and Chief Scientific Officer at Oryzon Genomics until January 2021. Additionally, they are a Member of the Scientific Review Board at the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation since January 2016. Tamara Maes has also held leadership positions as the President of Rotary Club Barcelona Condal from 2016 to 2017. Prior to their roles at Oryzon Genomics and the foundation, they were a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas for four years from 2009 to 2013. Tamara started their career as a PhD researcher at VIB in 1996 and completed their PhD at the Lab of Genetics, University of Ghent from 1992 to 1997.
