Tony Kirk, MS, SHRM-CP has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Tony is currently the Human Resources Director at the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, where they are responsible for contract negotiations, mediation, grievance processing, and ensuring a harmonious work environment. Prior to that, Tony was the Founder and CEO of Tony Kirk Consulting. Tony also served as the Senior Director of Human Resource Services and Director of Employee and Labor Relations at the Polk County School Board, where they dealt with contract negotiations, mediation, grievance processing, and issues related to equity, discrimination, and harassment. Tony has also served in the Kansas Army National Guard as a Staff Sergeant, providing training, supervision, and administrative oversight. In addition, they worked at the Topeka Police Department, holding various positions such as Deputy Chief of Police and Bureau Commander. Prior to that, in 1996, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General, also from Friends University.

In 2012, Tony attended the Senior Management Institute for Police, although no degree was specified. Tony further pursued their education in the field of criminal justice/law enforcement administration in 2005, earning 15 hours of college credit from the University of Virginia during the 221st Session of the FBI National Academy.
