Melanie Dunston

Melanie Dunston is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on community advocacy, diversity, and safety. Currently serving as a Passenger For Vehicle Hire Board Member and a member of the Resident Advisory Committee for Solid Waste for the City of Charlotte, Dunston is also active with the American Red Cross as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board Member. Additional board memberships include the Charlotte Art League and Disability Rights & Resources. As the founder of Accessibility NOW N.C. and a Disability & Inclusion Consultant, Dunston leverages a strong commitment to equity and inclusivity. Previous roles include multiple evaluations and mediations for Mecklenburg County, where Dunston contributed as an ABC Grant Evaluator, Domestic Violence Researcher, and a Guardian Ad Litem. Dunston holds several certifications, including OSHA 10, and is pursuing ongoing education in various relevant fields.
