John Rigney

John Rigney has extensive experience in the legal field. John served as the Chief Administrative, Legal and Compliance Officer at Osmose since June 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Osmose starting in November 2014. Before joining Osmose, John worked at Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Senior Counsel from September 2010 to November 2014. At Lowe's, they managed litigation and disputes, provided legal support and advice, and conducted training for various business units. John began their legal career at Troutman Sanders LLP as a Senior Litigation Attorney from September 2001 to September 2010. At Troutman Sanders LLP, they represented corporate clients in various disputes and managed all aspects of litigation. Notably, they represented Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and medical device companies in product liability actions.

John Rigney completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, which they pursued from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they attended Syracuse University College of Law, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law, completing the program from 1998 to 2001.

In terms of certifications, John Rigney acquired the Georgia Bar from the State Bar of Georgia in December 2001. Later in December 2012, they also obtained the North Carolina Bar from The North Carolina State Bar.
