Michael Waters

Michael Waters has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Michael currently works as a Project Manager at Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., starting in November 2020.

Prior to their current role, Michael held positions at Pangaea Rx, LLC, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of International Strategy from June 2018 to June 2019.

From December 2012 to June 2018, they worked at the U.S. Commercial Service as a Senior International Trade Specialist. In this role, they provided consulting and advising services to U.S. manufacturing and service organizations, helping them develop and execute international business strategies.

Between October 2015 and January 2016, Michael served as an International Trade Administration Liaison at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Here, they acted as a subject matter expert and advisor to CDC programs and leadership, providing guidance on improving private sector engagement.

Michael also has experience in the military, having served as an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer in the US Army from March 2003 to June 2009.

Before their military service, they worked as a Producer at Jim Waters Insurance from January 2001 to March 2003.

Michael Waters earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, specializing in the TI:GER Program and Technology Commercialization, Innovation, and New Venture Creation. Michael attended the program from 2015 to 2017.

Prior to their MBA, Michael obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Managerial Science from the Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Michael completed this program from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications. Michael is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, certified by Performance Excellence INC in December 2016. Michael has also completed training in compliance with U.S. Export Controls through the Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of Commerce in March 2016.

Furthermore, Michael is a Certified Global Business Professional, certified by NASBITE International in June 2013. Michael has also completed training in Commercial Tradecraft through the Foreign Service Institute in June 2013 and Automated Export System Compliance through the U.S. Census Bureau in March 2013.
