Lauren manages the foundation’s relationships with a number of grantees and partners, including those in our Small Grants Program. She has worked in global philanthropy for over 20 years, with experience in grantmaking and philanthropic advising, covering a range of sectors, including global health, education, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). She served for eight years at the Rockefeller Foundation, first in the Population Sciences program, and later the Global Inclusion program, where she helped conceptualize, design, and facilitate programming and collaborative grantmaking for the Philanthropy Workshop, a community of strategic, global investors committed to solving the world’s most pressing social issues. As Senior Program Officer at Firelight Foundation, Lauren managed a portfolio of grantees in Rwanda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Lauren holds a BA in international affairs from the University of Mary Washington and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
