Matt Russell is currently a Partner Success Manager at Osso VR. Prior to this, they worked as a Global Product Manager at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics from August 2018 to March 2022. Before that, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering from January 2018 to April 2018 where they taught various design thinking practices with a focus on human-centered design, and coached engineering students in user discovery and outreach as a means of driving iterative design. Matt also taught skills pertaining to 3D modeling, low-resolution prototyping, and physical fabrication.
From September 2017 to April 2018, Matt was a Development Team Member at the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Zoo where they developed a cellular connected GPS device for tracking rehabilitated manatees in Crystal River, Florida. Matt also created a LabView Interface for visualizing and recording data received from the device.
Prior to that, Matt worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Ocular Biomechanics Laboratory - UPMC Eye and Ear Institute from March 2016 to June 2017.
Before their career in research and development, Matt worked as a Court Monitor at Sky Zone Franchise Group from April 2013 to March 2016.
Matt Russell has a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
