Höskuldur Borgthorsson

Höskuldur Borgthorsson has a diverse work experience, primarily in web development and management. Höskuldur started their career as a Teacher at Hvassaleitisskóli from August 2007 to August 2010, where they taught Icelandic and developed two new subjects for the school's curriculum. Höskuldur then worked as a Web Developer at Menntamálastofnun from August 2013 to January 2016, focusing on implementing and creating web-based teaching material for schools in Iceland. Höskuldur also consulted on UX design best practices.

Since January 2016, Höskuldur has been employed at Össur, a company specializing in non-invasive orthopedics. Höskuldur started as a Global Web Developer and later became the Global Web Manager from March 2018 to October 2020. In this role, they led and managed web development projects globally. From October 2020 to present, Höskuldur has been the Sr. Manager of Web and Automation, responsible for overseeing web operations and automation processes. Additionally, they are currently serving as the Director of Web and Marketing Technology at Össur, a position they have held since October 2023.

Höskuldur Borgthorsson holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology from IT-Universitetet i København, earned between 2011 and 2013. Before that, they completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Icelandic/Information Technology at Háskóli Íslands from 2005 to 2007.
