Joseph Lomonaco

Joseph Lomonaco, Ph.D., is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Senior Director and Chief Engineer of Model-Based Design at Otis Elevator Co. since December 2020, where responsibilities include defining and overseeing the model-based design ecosystem and leading the development of advanced control systems. Prior to this, Joseph held the position of Principal Software Engineer at The MathWorks, focusing on software product development for the automotive sector. Joseph's career includes a managerial role at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where a new department in advanced controls and model-based design was established, alongside earlier engineering roles at Chrysler. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, an MSEE, and a BSEE from Oakland University and Purdue University, respectively.
