UI Design Lead at Otrium

Paul Verhulst is currently the UI Design Lead at Otrium. Prior to that, they were a Senior Product Designer at Impraise from October 2018 to July 2019. There, they were responsible for leading, defining, exploring and creating the design system (based on the Atomic Design methodology with the goal to make the platform more consistent, reduce technical debt, generate trust and visually supports the rebranding. Making sure all elements and components are ready for mobile and reusable based on principles. Collaborating and sharing iterations with developers, experts, and project owners, to ensure a seamless implementation of design and code within the new framework.Main responsibilities:- Leading the design system- Creating a global framework- User interface design- Layout and grid system- Colour theory- UX prototyping in InVision- Visual hierarchy- Documenting UX and UI rules- Creating one source of truth for fellow design and development

Before that, they were a Marketing Designer / Product Designer at TravelBird from October 2015 to July 2018. There, they were responsible for creating concepts, visuals and prototypes for digital marketing campaigns as well as designing user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mockups and prototypes for new features on the TravelBird website. Paul also collaborated closely with front-end developers to implement their designs.

Previously, they were a Visual / Communication Designer at CODE D'AZUR from October 2012 to April 2015. There, they were responsible for creating various designs for both digital and print media, including websites, newsletters, flyers, posters and infographics.

Paul Verhulst has a Bachelor's in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia Design from Hogeschool van Utrecht, and a certification from MKB Cursus & Training in Bedrijfshulpverlening + AED. Paul also has a certification from Schouten & Nelissen in Beïnvloedingsvaardigheden.

Paul Verhulst reports to Milan Daniels, Co-CEO & Co-Founder. Paul Verhulst works with Olivier Schmitz - Talent Acquisition Partner, Rutger Pruijs - Visual Merchandising, and Robin Rijkhoek - Business Development Lead.
