Derek McMaster

Derek McMaster, CPA, CMA, currently serves as the General Manager of Finance at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and supply chain functions since September 2025. Prior roles include Manager of Collaborative Planning & Projects at the City of Ottawa, where a new team was established to support the Housing & Homelessness Services initiatives, and Manager of Strategy and Corporate Performance at Ottawa Community Housing Corporation, leading strategic development and performance measurement. McMaster's earlier experience at the City of Ottawa involved financial planning and program administration, along with significant roles at Canada Revenue Agency as an Investigator and Auditor. McMaster holds a CMA designation from British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan.
