Malvika Krishnamurthy is currently a Thesis Student at the Vascular Dynamics Lab at McMaster University, focusing on the effects of endogenous estrogen and progesterone on substrate oxidation at submaximal workloads. In addition to this role, Malvika serves as a Physiotherapy Assistant at AIM Physio & Wellness Clinic and a Research Assistant at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Ng. Malvika has also held positions as a Community Advisor and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at McMaster University, contributing to various kinesiology courses. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Pass the Pen Initiative, Malvika has led efforts to enhance access to educational resources in marginalized communities through events and initiatives. Previous experiences include time as a Research Student at the Vascular Dynamics Lab and a Cooperative Education Student at Markham Stouffville Hospital in the Cancer & Oncology Clinic. Malvika is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University, with an expected graduation in April 2025.
