Matt Nichol is a seasoned professional in athlete health and performance, currently serving as the Director of Player Health and Performance for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club since November 2023. Nichol has extensive experience in this role with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club and the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club since March 2016 and March 2015, respectively. As the owner of Paragenix Systems since April 1998, Nichol specializes in providing tailored health and performance programs for elite athletes and executives. Previous roles include Player Health and Safety Advisor for the NHLPA and Founder of BioSteel Sports Nutrition. With a strong educational background including a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from McGill University, and a Master's degree in Kinesiology/Coaching from York University, Nichol has also held positions as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Teacher/Coach at Selwyn House School.
