Joann Bangs

Joann Bangs is an accomplished academic leader currently serving as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Ottawa University since January 2023. Prior to this role, Joann held the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty at Cottey College from November 2018 to December 2022. Joann's extensive experience at St. Catherine University spanned from 2004 to October 2018, where Joann served in various capacities including Professor of Economics, Associate Provost, and Dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies. Joann received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
