Tara Comber

Tara Comber has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Tara currently works as a Programme Operations Manager at Our Future Health UK since 2023. Prior to this, they gained experience as a Clinical Study Manager and Clinical Trial Coordinator at King's College London from 2018 to 2023. In these roles, they managed clinical studies related to dementia and coordinated commercial clinical trials. Tara also had responsibilities such as participant recruitment, conducting study visits, data entry, and managing site files.

Before their time at King's College London, Tara was a Graduate Research Assistant at NIHR Clinical Research Network from 2016 to 2018. Tara participated in the set-up and coordination of various clinical research studies within the NHS and UCL as part of their involvement in the CRN North Thames graduate training scheme. In addition to their research experience, Tara worked as a Maths and Science Tutor in a self-employed capacity from 2012 to 2015. Tara tutored ten students, providing them with customized activities and worksheets to support their learning.

Tara's early research experience includes a summer research project at the Wellcome Trust, University of Reading. In this role as a Research Student in 2014, they investigated the potential activation of TRPV4 channels by phytocannabinoids CBD and CBDV to develop new treatment options for epilepsy and other CNS disorders.

Tara Comber completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Reading, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Tara then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Trials at UCL from 2016 to 2018.
