A Business Development Representative at Our Hospice will:

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with nursing facilities, hospitals, physicians and key community members within assigned territory service area to increase patient/referrals.
  • Consistently visits referral sources to achieve admission and census targets.
  • Serves as OHSCI’s initial contact on referrals, explaining the mission and values as well as the patient’s ability to meet the hospice criteria.
  • Responds timely to all referrals and fosters a relationship of trust, responsiveness, and open communication with all customers including but not limited to extended care facilities, hospital case managers, physicians, patients and families.
  • Communicates and aligns with medical providers to ensure the patient and family receives the appropriate health services for patient needs.
  • Partners with the management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications. 
  • Maintains working knowledge of market resources, any changes in health care systems, including ACO’s, and competitor’s market share information.
  • Facilitates communication effectively with staff, patients/families/caregivers, physicians, and vendors.  
  • Provides documentation to facilities regarding services rendered that are compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Participates in the provision of educational and community relations activities to the community and other health care professionals as requested to further brand image and business development needs. 

An Business Development Representative at Our Hospice Needs:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years’ experience in hospice and/or healthcare field preferred.
  •  Valid Indiana Driver’s License, active car insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Proven successful marketing goals.

Competitive pay and eligible for monthly bonus program
