Kathleen Baireuther

Vice President, New Products And Markets at Our Next Energy

Kathleen Baireuther has a strong background in the clean energy and technology sectors. Kathleen has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Commercialization Consultant at the IC2 Institute: University of Texas at Austin. Kathleen then moved on to become the Director of Economic Development at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, where they focused on corporate recruitment and economic development incentives. Kathleen also served as the Executive Director of the CleanTX Foundation, where they led and developed the regional industry association for cleantech.

Kathleen later joined the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as an Energy Execs member and served as the Assistant Director of the Clean Energy Incubator at the Austin Technology Incubator. Kathleen managed the Mobility as a Service and Interoperable Transit Data programs at the Rocky Mountain Institute, while also founding the mobilitydata project. Kathleen then took on two roles at Ford Motor Company, first as the Senior Manager of City Solutions at Ford Smart Mobility LLC, and later as the Business Strategy & Operations lead for Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC in Austin, TX.

Kathleen's work experience also includes their time as a Business Fellow at Breakthrough Energy, where they supported early-stage climate technology start-ups. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President of New Products and Markets at Our Next Energy (ONE). Additionally, Kathleen has provided advisory support for Transmute, a company that digitizes trade documentation using blockchain technology.

Kathleen Baireuther holds an MPhil degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. Kathleen also completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political and Social Thought Distinguished Majors Program, with a minor in Spanish and Latin American Studies, from the University of Virginia. In addition to their educational background, Kathleen has obtained certifications in areas such as Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage, Energy Storage, Mastering Clean Hydrogen, and Venture Deals.
