Lina Alcala is the current Chief People Officer at [Oura Ring](/org/oura-ring). Lina has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development. Lina has a long history of working in various industries such as banking, insurance, media & entertainment, and technology. 

Lina started their career in 2009 as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. Lina then became an Organizational Development Consultant in 2010 and worked with the Center for Innovation and Change from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, they became the Learning & Development Manager for Simplicity Bank. The following year, they took on the role of HR Specialist for TMNA Services and Tokio Marine Management. In 2015, Lina joined Hulu as Manager of Learning & Knowledge Management. The next year, they were promoted to Director of Head of Talent Development and then to VP of People in 2018. Lina left Tinder in July of 2022 to join [Oura Ring](/org/oura-ring) as their Chief People Officer.

Leanne Loveday-Smith has been working in Human Resources for over 15 years. Leanne began their career at Appian Corporation in July 2004, where they managed all aspects of HR, often as a team of one. In October 2010, they moved to Acumen LLC, where they built the Human Resources department and function where none previously existed. In February 2016, they joined [Mixpanel](/org/mixpanel) as Head of People & Culture, and built and led the company's international People & Culture team. Leanne created HR structures, programs, and systems supporting 300+ employees in five countries as the company doubled in size. In October 2019, they left [Mixpanel](/org/mixpanel) to join [Oura Ring](/org/oura-ring) as VP of People.

Hassam Farooq is the Head of Lifecycle & Referral Marketing, Growth at [Oura Ring](/org/oura-ring). Previously, they worked as Sr. Growth Marketing Manager at [VSCO](/org/vsco) from August 2019 to April 2020.

At [VSCO](/org/vsco), Hassam was responsible for building the lifecycle marketing platform from scratch using tools such as Braze, Mixpanel, Branch, and Amplitude. Hassam also created a data driven approach to revamp the end-to-end customer journey and deliver the right content, education, and message to customers via the right channels at the right time. In addition, Hassam developed marketing plans to drive engagement, retention, cross-sell, win-back, and renewals through documenting the subscriber lifecycle, defining customer segments, and building/testing a campaign roadmap.

Hassam has also created cross-functional initiatives with user research, design, and growth product teams to ensure the creation of thoughtful user experiences across campaigns and in-product touchpoints. Hassam has also partnered with PR, content and creative teams on go-to-market plans and evergreen product engagement strategy.
