James McKernan has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2001. James began their career as a Software Development Consultant at Exeter Group in 2001. James then moved on to become a Senior Consultant - Development at Glenridge Solutions in 2004. In 2006, they took on the role of Software Engineer - Infrastructure at Slide and provided guidance to the product team's technical leads. In 2010, they moved to Google as a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure and continued many of their Slide responsibilities until the Autonomous Unit was closed down in 2011. In 2012, they served as an Advisor at Affirm, Inc. and Chief Architect at HVF Labs, where they built infrastructure for HVFLab's companies. In 2013, they were an Advisor at Glow, Inc. and in 2014, they took on the role of Director of Engineering at Emerald Cloud Lab. Since 2018, they have been Principal Software Engineer, SVP, Technology, and VP of Engineering at Pathpoint.
James McKernan obtained a B.S. (Honors) in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1997 and 2001.
