Katherine Miller

Katherine Miller has over 20 years of experience in intellectual property law and related fields. Katherine is currently the Vice President of Intellectual Property and Legal at Outpace Bio, a position they have held since October 2021. Previously, they served as the Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Silverback Therapeutics from January 2021 to August 2021. Before that, Katherine worked as an Associate at Cooley LLP from April 2015 to January 2021, and as an Associate at Wolf Greenfield from February 2014 to April 2015. Katherine also served as an Associate and Technology Specialist at Mintz Levin from November 2012 to February 2014 and from June 2007 to October 2012, respectively. Prior to their legal career, Katherine held research positions at Yale University Medical School, Yale University, Northwestern University Medical School at Marine Biology Laboratory, and Northwestern University Medical School. Katherine holds a Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University and conducted undergraduate research at the University of Chicago.

Katherine Miller attended the University of Chicago from 1996 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology and Immunology. Katherine then pursued further studies at Yale University from 2000 to 2005, earning a Ph.D. in Neurobiology. Following this, they attended Suffolk University Law School from 2008 to 2012 and received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, focusing on Law. Lastly, they completed the Biomimicry 3.8 Professional Certification program from 2013 to 2015, becoming a Certified Biomimicry Professional.
