Joe Sum

Joe Sum started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate from September 2005 to October 2009. Joe then moved on to Plantronics, where they worked as a Senior Accountant from March 2010 to June 2011 before taking on the role of Accounting Manager from June 2011 to October 2011. Joe later joined TIBCO Software as an Accounting Manager from October 2011 to June 2013. Joe then worked at Yelp as a General Accounting Manager from June 2013 to March 2015, where they were responsible for the General Ledger and implemented SOX. After Yelp, Joe joined Fitbit as a Senior Accounting Manager from March 2015 to December 2016, during which they gained S-1 experience in taking the company public and implementing SOX. Joe then became the Director of Accounting at Fitbit from December 2016 to October 2017 and subsequently served as the Director of Accounting Operations from October 2017 to April 2019. Currently, Joe is working at Outreach as the Corporate Controller, a position they started in April 2019. In May 2022, they were promoted to the role of VP, Corporate Controller.

Joe Sum attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance. In addition to their degree, Joe Sum has also obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy.
