Joey Walvatne began their work experience in 2013 as the Manager of Automotive Installations & Integrations at Conversica. They held this role until 2019 and were responsible for managing automotive installations and integrations. In 2019, Joey joined T-Mobile as an Account expert and worked there until 2020. Afterward, in 2021, they worked as a Land Surveyor at LISSER & ASSOCIATES, PLLC until November 2021. Currently, Joey is employed at Outreach as a Technical Support Engineer, starting in December 2021.

Joey Walvatne's education history begins in 2004 at Port Townsend High School, where they completed their high school education. From 2007 to 2011, Joey attended Western Washington University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies, with a focus on Math, Science, and ESL. In 2014 and 2015, Joey attended the Washington Engineering Institute, where they studied Civil Engineering.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Joey obtained a Certified Administrator certification from Outreach in January 2023.
