Sr Systems Engineer - Atlassian at Outreach

Mikael Sandberg has a strong background in Configuration Management and technical support. Mikael has experience working with various companies and tools such as Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, Atlassian, and Git.

From 2000 to 2001, Mikael worked as an SCM Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Sverige AB. Mikael then joined IBM Rational Software as a Technical Support Engineer, providing customer support for ClearCase, UCM, and ClearCase MultiSite. Mikael then worked at WellPoint as a Desktop Management Advisor from 2009 to 2011, focusing on Rational ClearCase and Rational Team Concert administration and maintenance.

From 2011 to 2012, Mikael served as a Technical Operations Specialist at WellPoint through Accenture, primarily handling WellPoint's Rational ClearCase and Rational Build Forge.

In 2012, Mikael worked as a Sr IT Engineer at Hill-Rom, and from 2013 to 2020, they held the role of Principal Applications Specialist at FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. In these positions, they were responsible for configuring and maintaining Atlassian and Git environments, supporting developers, and administering other tools such as Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearCase, Jenkins, and Rational ClearCase.

Currently, Mikael works at Outreach as a Sr Systems Engineer - Atlassian, utilizing their expertise in Atlassian tools.

Mikael Sandberg obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a major in Informatics from the University of Borås, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. Mikael is an Atlassian Certified Expert, Atlassian Certified in Managing Jira Projects for Cloud, Atlassian Certified Jira Service Project Manager, and Atlassian Certified Confluence Administrator for Data Center and Server. Mikael obtained the Atlassian certifications in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021 respectively. Mikael Sandberg is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), certified by Scrum Alliance, Inc. in 2008. Mikael has additional certifications from IBM Rational, including IBM Certified Administrator - Rational ClearCase, IBM Certified Administrator - Rational ClearQuest, and IBM Certified Administrator - Rational UCM Fundamentals.
