Sofiya Huts

Sofiya Huts has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sofiya is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at Outreach, starting in February 2021. Prior to this, Sofiya worked at Microsoft from 2018 to 2021, where they served as a Product Manager for Microsoft Teams Meetings, responsible for defining the in-meeting experience. Sofiya also worked as a Software Engineer for Microsoft Teams Framework, specializing in designing accessibility for the React component framework library called Stardust.

Before joining Microsoft, Sofiya was involved in several open-source projects. Sofiya co-authored, served as a product manager, and contributed to Hoverboard, a conference website template. Sofiya also worked as a Co Organizer for Google Developers Group Lviv, where they connected industry experts with the Ukrainian audience to boost IT development. Additionally, Sofiya was a Co-organizer of DevFest Ukraine, the biggest conference about Google technologies in Central and Eastern Europe.

In the earlier stages of their career, Sofiya worked at JustAnswer, an online Q&A platform, as a Software Engineer and Scrum Master. Sofiya developed new payment pages and API endpoints and performed A/B tests using various tools. Sofiya also had responsibilities as a Scrum Master, including backlog organization and stakeholder communications.

Sofiya's work experience also includes a role as a Software Engineer at SoftServe, where they gained industry experience from September 2014 to January 2016.

Sofiya Huts obtained their Masters degree in Computer Science from State University 'Lviv Polytechnics', where they studied from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications. In April 2014, they received a certification in C# 5.0 from Brainbench. In March 2016, they completed the Android Study Jams for Beginners program from Udacity. In March 2019, Sofiya completed the Machine Learning program offered by Stanford University through Coursera. Lastly, in May 2019, they obtained the certification for Story Impact: Learning to Connect and Compel from Microsoft - Lange International.
